X-Awards A Feature of the National Regional, Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference

The X Awards are shaping up as a real feature of this years annual conference dinner. With the passing of each year the X Awards grow in popularity and prestige. 2007 saw over 90 entries into the X awards and this year is expected to be even bigger.



So who can enter these prestigious awards? The answer is the X Awards are open to all Stations that Attend the National Regional, Rural and Sub Metro Broadcasters Conference in Ballarat this May as well as all financial members of the Southern Community Media Association regardless of if they do or do not attend the conference.



The X Awards are free to enter and there is a range of categories recognising excellence within the Community Broadcasting Sector. President of the SCMA Mr Graeme Macartney said ? It is fantastic to see the amount of interest that this years X Awards and National Conference are already generating. The amount of inquiries we have received would indicate that this years conference will be bigger and better than previous years? The CEO of the SCMA said ?With the Conference being held at the Ballarat University in Ballarat Victoria this year we have a great venue that not only lends itself to learning but also has a great social vibe about it?.
